100 Icons in 365 Days Challenge

I have decided to try my hand at icon-making and you guys know me - it seems I always bite off more than I can chew. So I really hope that's not the case here because I've signed up for xover365days ' challenge of 100 icons in 365 days. I KNOW!!! 100 icons is a lot and I've chosen the pairing Sam Winchester/Dawn Summers which is only a pairing I've started maniping since joining Team Dawn. Not that I didn't love them before that, because I absolutely did and I prefer Sam with Dawn above the others but I'd never really done much with them art-wise.

Needless to say, my Miyagi, lightthesparks , is probably going crazy with all of the files I keep sending her trying to gauge whether or not I'm on the right track with this icon making business so if you happen to see her, give her a pat on the back. She definitely deserves it.

Now on to the icons. So far, the group of artists is at day 85 and obviously I'm quite behind so bear with me as I get them all up. For a little bit, there will be a number of 'Coming Soon' icons. Please stop by regularly and let me know what you think of them. I'm still new to this and I'd love to hear what others think :D

Lovely icons! I especially like couple, friends, happy and black & white. Do you mind if I snag them? I'd credit of course when I use them.

I'm sorry to have to tell you, but you did make icons for closed themes. That means, that the icons you made for those themes will currently not count towards your claims icon total.
The rules (http://community.livejournal.com/xover365days/profile) say, that you can only make an icon for a theme for one week, then the theme is closed.
However, I have been thinking about changing that rule recently and now made a post about that in the community to let the members vote on it (http://community.livejournal.com/xover365days/24818.html).
With a bit of luck that rule will soon be changed and all of the icons you made so far will count. ;-) So, no need to change your icon table right now or anything. But I wanted to let you know incase you plan on making more icons that might not count before the final decision about that rule is made.

By the way, you don't have to make an icon for every theme either. ;-) There is a new theme posted every day so that people can pick only the themes they actually like. I for one don't have an idea on what kind of icon to make for some themes, so I skip them. I guess it always depnds on the claim if you can find something fitting.

Hey mate, I don't mind if you borrow the icons :D And it's alright if the previous icons don't count. I'm having a great time making them and having a challenge to make 100 icons is definitely challenging. But thanks for pointing that out; I was sure I had read the rules properly but I must have not retained that bit of information. My bad :P

Sometimes things just slip our minds or get overlooked. It happened to me before, too. ;-) And there are so many different icon communities out there, it's easy to get confused sometimes.
