Too wired to sleep :P I saw this meme over at [livejournal.com profile] mudg3t's journal and it was hilarious so I thought I'd try it out myself. I actually don't place any belief in astrology though I have a family who does so I've grown up with it - I just happen to think it's more ridiculous than anything :P

Pisces are all about feelings.

They are caring, sensitive people who feel things very deeply and they count on their intuition to guide them. They have extremely strong natural intuitions and many Pisces have psychic abilities. These qualities, and their compassionate souls, mean they feel the burdens and joys of others as well as their own.

Charitable Pisces see the good in everyone, and often put the needs of others ahead of their own. This means that they sometimes get taken advantage of by people who aren't so well-meaning, but they always bounce back. They also make great volunteers.

Pisceans are go-with-the-flow people. They are also introspective and they live largely in a dream world of their own imagination. They are happy to be considered "fuzzy", since they feel nice and safe daydreaming in their own little world. When Pisces do reach out to others, they expect them to be there for them.

If a Pisces feels neglected, they can sink into moodiness and negativity. Many keep themselves occupied in the creative arts, including painting and music, at which they are extremely talented. They are very modest however and are always quick to point out the talents of others around them, rather than taking center stage themselves.

(Can I just say that I've always hated being a Pisces because I think it's too much to live up to? They're always so nice and compassionate and perfect and I get frustrated when people tell me how much I'm like my sign because there are some days when I'm obstinate just because I can be! :P)

Pisces are hopeless romantics who love getting all emotional and weepy over books, whether they are mushy romance novels or sentimental family drama.

Some romantic reads for Pisces to try include "A Walk to Remember", "Kissed By an Angel", "Every Boy's Got One", "Gone With the Wind", "Summer Boys", "Forever" and "Someone Like You."

Pisces also like a story they can get deeply involved in, especially if it carries them away to an imaginary land. That's why the tales of King Arthur and the Narnia stories are great picks for Pisceans.

(Okay, I know I'm a hopeless romantic but I'm also just jaded enough to know that the world isn't always perfect. Besides, I'll happily read a great horror novel. 'Needful Things' is in my top 5 and there's no mushy stuff in there! :P)

Good careers for Pisces include:

Actor, Art critic, Bartender, Charity worker, Chemist, Conductor, Costume designer, Counselor, Criminal justice worker, Curator, Dancer, Fashion designer, Graphic designer, Illustrator, Magician, Musician, Painter, Photographer, Poet, Religious leader, Secret agent, Shoe designer, Social worker, Spiritualist, Window dresser, Wine expert

(OH MY GOSH!!! Secret Agent? Coolest job ever! I soooo wanna go all Pretender one day so that I can have a ton of great jobs!!! :P)

Pisces have a habit of sharing all their chocolates and forgetting to leave any for themselves!

(Let me stop you here. You touch my chocolate, I bite off your hand... :P)

Pisces are born seafood lovers. From salmon salad sandwiches to more fancy fish dishes like sushi, shrimp cocktail, crab cakes and calimari, Pisces have a hunger for it!

Pisces also have a number of "favorite" spices whose tastes they like in many foods. These include cloves, mint, nutmeg and vanilla.

Some yummy foods that most Pisces will favor include carrot cake, chocolate-mint candy bars, peppermint tea, Caribbean rice and beans, Moroccan couscous dishes, and vanilla-flavored pudding and yogurt.

The Piscean is also a caring eater who likes to eat natural, wholesome meals and organic produce including fruits, granola bars and sunflower seeds. Many Pisces are vegetarians.

On the other hand, most Pisces people have trouble staying away from junk food!

(Don't get me wrong, I do love seafood but I wouldn't call myself a seafood lover. I love fish and I'll eat prawns but I HATE sushi and cannot stomach calamari! I do, however, love vanilla. My perfumes and creams are vanilla because I prefer the smell but I don't know if that necessarily translates to food. I am not a vegetarian. Tried it once as a teenager but I love meat. I don't prefer organic foods and I nearly die sometimes when I go to my MIL because she loves that organic stuff. I do love popcorn seeds though and will eat those :P)

Pisces are extremely caring and romantic when it comes to love. They are charmingly creative, always coming up with sweet little treats to keep their partner happy. Pisces can get very sad and mopey if they aren't treated just as well, so it's important to them to find a love partner who is as emotionally giving as they are.

It's also good if their partner is a little bit social, so they can bring the wonderful Pisces out into the world where others can enjoy being with them too. Pisces can always be counted on to be true, because they are loyal and dependable by nature.

(See what I mean? I cannot possibly fathom ever cheating on Matt but now there is this perfect image of what I could be like there! How's a completely fallible woman to live up to that!! :P)

Deep-feeling Pisceans like emotional, heart-tugging movies. They are never happier at the movies than when they're crying an ocean over what's happening on screen!

Films that will get the tears flowing for sensitive Pisces include "The Notebook", "Notting Hill", "A Walk to Remember", "Beaches", "Untamed Heart", "Serendipity", "A Christmas Story" and "Pretty Woman."

On the flip side, a Pisces can devote long blocks of time to getting lost in adventure-fantasies! The "Lord of the Rings" movies and "The Adventures of Narnia" are perfect for this sign.

(Okay, here's a perfect example. I bought The Notebook/The English Patient double feature but have not watched it. I've seen quite a bit of both but never all the way through because they make me cry! And I can be enough of a crybaby without deliberately putting myself in that position. So no, I don't prefer those movies. Anchorman? Check! Terminator? Check! Anything that doesn't make me cry? Check! :P Btw, prepare yourselves f'listers: I HATE Lord of the Rings! I know, but it's too darn depressing and I can't stand it!)

Dreamy Pisceans love ethereal music, the kind that sounds like it came from fairyland.

Coldplay, Sarah McLachlan, Dido, the Indigo Girls, John Mayer, Maroon 5, Air, Massive Attack and other musicians whose music is airy and emotional will satisfy a Pisces musical tastes.

Pisces also enjoy listening to the soundtracks from their fave romantic movies and they often buy these songs for their collections.

These folks also are attracted to jazz, especially the heart-breaking refrains of Billie Holliday.

(I like Coldplay, Sarah McLachlan, Maroon 5, 1 Dido song and 2 John Mayer. Almost never listen to soundtracks but I have been trying to recently. I'm just a lyrics girl and hear that instead of the music. On the other hand, I am partial to Billie and jazz but I suspect that's because the sax is probably the sexiest sounding instrument :P)

The naturally aquatic Pisces is drawn to water. That's why they are usually very good at water sports.

These include swimming, diving, sailing, wakeboarding, water skiing, water polo, canoeing, kayaking and white water rafting.

(I DO love water but I am mediocre at swimming. I've tried an inner tube and that was disastrous - though hilarious for the spectators - but I do surprisingly love to canoe. And am good at it :D)

Pisces love fantasy shows that make them feel like they're in another world. That's why most Pisceans will enjoy shows like Lost, Heroes and Jericho. (LOVE and own Jericho. Hate Heroes and Lost :P)

People born under this sign will also dig reruns of adventure-fantasy series such as Sliders, Angel, Roswell, Xena, Hercules and The Lost World.( Love Sliders but the others are meh and before you ask, I only liked a few episodes of Angel mostly the first couple of seasons. Was devastated when Doyle died :( )

Piscean folks are drawn to shows that feature lots of romantic drama, especially if it's melodramatic, so they will enjoy soap operas and teen dramas like "Gossip Girl". (I do not watch Gossip Girl. Probably would get addicted to it but we'll never find out :P)

Even when a Pisces isn't a huge TV-watcher, they always make time to watch "The Simpsons", because Lisa Simpson is a classic Pisces character! (Until they started airing According To Jim at 6pm, I always watched The Simpsons :P)

Great vacation spots for Pisces include:

Brazil, Florida, Morocco, Pakistan, Tibet, Washington D.C. (If you live in these places, be prepared! I'm coming your way!!! :P)

I'm procrastinating on a paper (which is a really bad idea since it's due in less than two weeks, but whatever), and it was just SO WRONG. They said I hated garlic! D:

TWO WEEKS? That's a lifetime. I finished my BB with fourteen minutes to spare! Though in RL I almost always finish things as soon as I get them. I'm too neurotic not to :P

Yeah, and I'm practically perfect in every way. Clearly they haven't met me :P

15 páginas ... ¡Ay!

Okay, totally google translator! I cheated. But I know know how to say that in Spanish so if it ever comes up in conversation, which it inevitably will, I'll know something :P 15 pages in english is long, let alone a foreign language, so I don't envy you that. All I can say is 'Good Luck!' :D
